Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is composed of nine men, all of whom are pastors in Sovereign Grace churches. The Executive Committee has the following responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the Leadership Team members are acting in accordance with the mission and core values of Sovereign Grace churches.
  • To appoint and evaluate the Leadership Team.
  • To approve the annual budget of Sovereign Grace.
  • To determine the responsibilities of the Leadership Team.
  • To select a member to serve on Sovereign Grace’s Nominating Committee.
  • To keep current and maintain the Sovereign Grace Articles of Incorporation and corporate bylaws and keep them consistent with our Book of Church Order.
  • To select a chairman from among its members to facilitate decision-making, lead discussions, and serve as a point of contact for the whole committee.

Mark Alderton

Mark Alderton

Mark has served as Senior Pastor of Sovereign Grace Church in Aurora, CO since 2008. After working as a scientist for 15 years, Mark attended the Pastors Conference in 2002. He then served for five years at Sovereign Grace Church in Minneapolis, MN.

Warren Boettcher

Warren Boettcher

Warren is senior pastor of Sovereign Grace Church in Marlton, New Jersey. He taught in a Christian school in suburban Philadelphia before leading the pastoral team that planted Sovereign Grace Church in 1993.

Wayne Brooks

Wayne Brooks

Wayne has served as a pastor for over 25 years. For the ten years prior to the plant of Grace Church in Orlando, Florida, which he currently pastors, he served as an executive pastor at Metro Life Church in Casselberry. Before joining Metro Life’s leadership team, he served for 11 years as senior pastor in Titusville, Florida.

Paul Buckley

Paul Buckley

Paul serves as the Lead Pastor of King of Grace Church in Haverhill, Massachusetts, a church he helped found in 2002. He is a 2001 graduate of the Sovereign Grace Pastors College. He has a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Johns Hopkins University. Paul also holds the obscure honor of being the fastest pickle packer on the fastest spear pickle line in the country. More importantly, he is married to Peg, and they are parents of four grown children and enjoy being part of reaching New England with the good news of Christ.

Bruce Chick

Bruce Chick

Bruce serves as the senior pastor of Sovereign Grace Community Church (Roanoke, VA). He received his Masters of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando Florida in 2001. Upon graduation he attended the Pastors College, graduating in 2002.

Andy Farmer

Andy Farmer

Andy Farmer is a pastor at Covenant Fellowship Church in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. He has been on staff there since 1993. He received a B.A. in Political Science from St. Andrews Presbyterian College and a Masters in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary.

Ken Mellinger

Ken Mellinger

Ken Mellinger has been a part of Sovereign Grace since its inception and has 20 years of pastoral ministry experience. He is an elder at Living Hope Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he previously served as senior pastor from 1993-2016.

Jon Payne

Jon Payne is the senior pastor of Redemption Hill Church in Round Rock, Texas. Jon is a 2005 graduate of our Pastors College and served as a pastor at Sovereign Grace Church in Gilbert, Arizona for eight years before planting Redemption Hill Church.

Dave Taylor

Dave Taylor

Dave Taylor moved to Sydney from the UK with his family in June 2010 to plant Sovereign Grace Church in Sydney, Australia, where he serves as the senior pastor. He is a 2001 graduate of the Sovereign Grace Pastors College.
